Phenomenal Phenoms destroyed Feba Academy 114-45 in the Street League on Saturday. Feba who had beaten the Phenoms in preseason found it tough going as they continue to fall from grace and now are on grass. Phenoms join only Rangers as the only teams to score a century of points or more in the the street league this season. Romuald kabete led the Phenoms with 20points, Davis siaji had 17points and he was asking a question on the bench as the game was going on,”It can’t be that we are this good! Or a we? He continued “That score line isn’t normal.” In truth it could have been worse for the academy had Phenoms not exercised sportsmanship and played zone defense. It’s a huge fall for a team that were contenders for the playoffs. Phenoms match on steadily as they maintained their unbeaten run.
Huruma Dragons were in not merciful in their defeat of Advance. Dragons prevailing 61-47. Dragons form has improved of late and with Kenya under 23 international Powell Hargos they are steadily rising up the standings. He had 14 points. Joshua Olang’ had 16 points for halted Advance, who only have one victory to their name.
Coach Chester Oluoch had to watch through the fence as his Fam Kenya team coasted to a 71-48 victory over the Buruburu crusaders. In truth Fam Kenya were struggling at some stage and the head coach wouldn’t leave the floor. He was duly awarded a technical and told to leave the floor and go to his bench. Instead he challenged the officials authority with all eyes on. He was added another technical and still refused to leave before he was escorted out of the premises. Fam Kenya responded brilliantly and from struggling they opened up a 13 point lead and never looked back. Bol m connected for 17 points. Magic Omondi had 20 points for beaten Crusaders.
Titus musembi had 13 points for Teffad as he rolled back his vintage days as they held on to defeat Junubin 53-48 in a nail biting last two minutes. It had looked as though Teffad were going to seal it. They led by 10 points. Mayhem ensued and Junubin cut that lead to within two before a pair of free throws saw Teffad home. Ngor Ngor had 13 points for Junubin.
Kibra had to come from 13 points down to stop a stubborn Bantu sports 65-61. Dominic M and Medjowk James were key architects for Kibra as they notched 16 points and 12 points respectively. Keith Okoth had 18 points for stunned Bantu who let it slip away.
Steven Okello had 28 points for five man Pride landers but it wasn’t enough to prevent them from falling to a 71-54 defeat to in-form E Nets. Jerry Okwako maintained his consistency with 15 points for E Nets, who have only lost once all season.
The Moore wright group completed a double over Rangers 59-48. Rangers were never in the contest as the Moore wright group ran riot straight from tip off. Morgan Niva said “This is a scratch match. There’s no pressure.” That was before he dropped 19 points for Moore wright. Bior Agwer added 15 points as they completed a double in the embakasi pride center derby. Tony m had 16 points for shocked Rangers. The Moore wright group have only lost once since the second leg began.
Kwetu overcame Db Nets 55-49 in a game that saw Joshua Kisali ejected because of aggressive behavior towards the officials. Kwetu were able to compose themselves in a highly emotional encounter despite losing one of their best players. Sheldon Ouma made his debut for Kwetu as it’s looking like they are beefing up to go after the championship. Jayson Makwatch had 14 points for Kwetu while consistent captain marvelous, Antony Njenga had 13 points for the unfortunate Db Nets.
